HY6 Series — Flexible Super Screw Conveyor Belt Splice
A quick-change mechanical belt connector engineered for tight spaces, small pulleys, and fast turnarounds — no vulcanizer, no curing time, no specialist required.
What Is the HY6 Super Screw Belt Splice?
Mechanical splicing, reinvented for everyday maintenance crews
The HY6 Series is a flexible, general-purpose mechanical conveyor belt connector — sometimes referred to in the industry as a "super screw" style splice. Instead of hot vulcanization or adhesive bonding, the HY6 sleeve wraps around the belt ends and is locked in place purely with self-tapping screws driven by a standard power drill.
The upper and lower halves of the HY6 sleeve are joined as a single body, so there's no need to position parts separately or punch alignment holes before installation. This makes HY6 one of the fastest mechanical splicing systems to install in the field — ideal for plants where downtime is expensive and access to a vulcanizing press is limited or impossible.
Because HY6 uses embedded nuts and washers rather than through-bolts, it threads into the belt's fabric reinforcement without cutting the carcass — keeping the belt flexible enough to pass over small-diameter pulleys without cracking or delaminating at the joint.
Why Maintenance Teams Are Switching to Mechanical Super Screw Splicing
Traditional joining methods come with hidden costs
⚠ Traditional Hot Vulcanization
- Requires a vulcanizing press and trained technicians
- 8+ hours of line downtime per splice
- High process complexity and equipment cost
- Difficult to perform in remote or field locations
✓ HY6 Super Screw Mechanical Splice
- Just a power drill — no vulcanizer, no curing
- Installed and running again in under 2 hours
- Any competent mechanic can learn it in one session
- Performs reliably in humid, dusty, or remote field conditions
How HY6 Installation Works
From bare belt ends to running line in under two hours
Confirm orientation
Check the "UP" marking on the sleeve to ensure correct top/bottom orientation before fitting.
Strip the joint area
Strip back the rubber cover layer at both belt ends to expose the carcass for the splice sleeve.
Fit the tenon to the socket
Align the upper and lower sleeve sections so the tenon seats exactly into the socket — this determines splice accuracy.
Apply adhesive (optional)
For added stability in high-tension applications, a thin layer of adhesive can be brushed on before fastening.
Pre-assemble and form
Press the sleeve into shape around both belt ends before driving any fasteners.
Drive the self-tapping screws
Using a standard power drill, drive the self-tapping screws into the pre-marked points across the sleeve.
Inspect and restart
Check for a flat, seamless surface profile, then return the belt to service immediately.

Which HY6 Model Fits Your Belt?
A simple three-step selection check before you order
Check your minimum pulley diameter
If your smallest pulley is between 120–200 mm, HY6 is your category — the heavy-duty HY5 series requires pulleys of 500 mm or larger and won't fit your line.
Match your belt thickness
5–13 mm → HY6Q | 6–15 mm → HY6S | 7–17 mm → HY6W
Verify tensile strength
Confirm your belt's actual working tension is at or below the model's rated maximum (600 / 800 / 1000–1200 N/mm respectively) before finalizing your order.
Where HY6 Super Screw Splicing Is Used
Built for general-purpose conveyors where space and turnaround time matter
Compact Conveyor Lines
Plants with small pulley diameters where heavy-duty splices physically won't bend around the rollers.
General Manufacturing
Packaging, food processing, and light-industrial lines needing a fast, reliable splice without vulcanization downtime.
Mobile & Field Equipment
Portable crushers, screening plants, and mobile conveyors where there's no access to vulcanizing equipment on-site.
Emergency Belt Repair
Sites needing a same-shift fix after a joint failure, with no time to schedule a vulcanizing crew.
