HZ-801 Wear-Resistant Armor Coating
A 4-component polyurethane-based wear armor coating reinforced with nano silicon carbide and ceramic hard particles. Tested at 6× the wear resistance of standard conveyor belt rubber — flame retardant, field-applicable, and back in light load operation in 15 minutes.
- 6× Wear Resistance vs Standard Belt Rubber (Tested)
- Light Load Return in Just 15 Minutes
- Flame Retardant — Suitable for Mining Environments
- Bonds to Rubber, Polyurethane & Fiber Substrates
Why HZ-801 Outperforms Standard Repair Compounds
Most conveyor belt repair compounds restore surface integrity — but fail quickly under continued abrasive impact at discharge zones and loading points. HZ-801 goes further: its polyurethane resin matrix reinforced with nano silicon carbide and ceramic hard particles delivers a cured coating that is both tough and extremely hard — 6× the wear resistance of standard belt rubber, verified by test.
Unlike rigid epoxy-based compounds that crack under belt flex, HZ-801 maintains 300% elongation at break alongside Shore A 80–95 hardness — meaning the coating flexes with the belt around pulleys without delaminating, while still resisting abrasion and impact at the repaired zone.
Performance Advantages
6× Wear Resistance
Tested against standard conveyor belt rubber. Nano silicon carbide and ceramic particles deliver verified superior abrasion resistance.
Flame Retardant
Meets flame-retardant requirements for industrial and mining environments where fire safety standards apply.
Flexible Yet Hard
Shore A 80–95 hardness with 300% elongation at break — resists abrasion without cracking around small-diameter pulleys.
Bonds to Multiple Substrates
Excellent adhesion to rubber, polyurethane, and fiber — suitable for belt surfaces, liner pipes, and polyurethane components.
Fast Return to Service
Light load in 15 minutes, full heavy load in 2 hours at 25°C — minimizing operational downtime.
Field-Applicable
Mix and apply on-site with basic tools. No hot press, no vulcanizing equipment, no specialist contractor required.
Primary Application Zones
HZ-801 is engineered specifically for the highest-wear zones on conveyor systems and industrial equipment — where standard repair compounds fail within weeks.

How to Apply HZ-801
- Grind & Roughen: Use a grinding disc to thoroughly roughen the damaged or target surface. Remove all loose material, dust, and contamination.
- Clean & Activate: Apply Component C (rubber activator) to the prepared surface. Allow the solvent to evaporate completely until the surface is dry and activated.
- Mix the Compound: Combine Component D (wear filler) with Component A (main agent) and stir until fully blended. Then add Component B (curing agent) and mix thoroughly. Working time is approximately 2 minutes at 25°C — work quickly and prepare only the quantity needed immediately.
- Apply & Level: Spread the mixed compound onto the target zone using a rubber scraper or trowel. Level the surface evenly. Apply in layers for deeper repairs.
- Cure & Return to Service: Allow to cure at ambient temperature. Light load operations can resume in 15 minutes at 25°C. Full heavy-load operations resume after 2 hours.

Handling Notes
Working time is only 2 minutes after mixing at 25°C — prepare only the quantity needed for immediate application. Do not mix more than can be applied within the pot life window.
Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying Component C activator — moisture will compromise adhesion.
Ensure adequate ventilation during mixing and application — Component C contains solvent.
Store all components sealed in a cool, dry location away from heat and direct sunlight. Shelf life is 18 months under these conditions.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes HZ-801 different from standard rubber repair compounds?
HZ-801 uses a polyurethane resin matrix reinforced with nano silicon carbide and ceramic hard particles — delivering wear resistance tested at 6× that of standard conveyor belt rubber. Unlike standard rubber repair compounds, it also bonds well to polyurethane and fiber substrates, not just rubber surfaces.
How quickly can the belt return to operation after applying HZ-801?
At 25°C, light load operations can resume in 15 minutes. Full heavy-load operations resume after 2 hours. Lower ambient temperatures will extend curing time.
Is HZ-801 suitable for discharge zones and impact wear areas?
Yes — discharge zones and impact wear zones are the primary target applications for HZ-801. Its combination of high hardness (Shore A 80–95) and flexibility (300% elongation) allows it to withstand repeated impact and abrasive material flow without cracking or delaminating.
What surfaces can HZ-801 bond to?
HZ-801 has excellent adhesion to rubber, polyurethane, and fiber substrates — making it suitable for conveyor belt surfaces, liner pipes, mining equipment components, and polyurethane products.
Is HZ-801 flame retardant?
Yes. HZ-801 meets flame-retardant requirements, making it suitable for use in environments with fire safety regulations, including underground mining and processing plants.
What is the operating temperature range of HZ-801?
HZ-801 remains effective from −60°C to 120°C, covering most industrial conveyor environments including cold storage operations and high-temperature processing lines.
