Where plain rubber lagging wears quickly under continuous belt friction and material impact, the ceramic tile surface of HUAYE-CRL-15 maintains its profile and grip significantly longer — reducing lagging replacement frequency and associated conveyor downtime. The back face comes with a factory-applied CN bonding layer, so it’s buffing-free — no grinding of the lagging’s back face is needed before installation: clean, degrease, apply cold-bond adhesive, and bond.

Cold Bond Installation

The back face of HUAYE-CRL-15 carries a factory-applied CN bonding layer, so it’s buffing-free on that side — no grinding of the lagging back face is needed before bonding.

On the pulley side, the shell surface should be ground to bare, sound metal before adhesive application — sandblasting is not required for this step.

We recommend HUAYE-818 cold-bond adhesive for installation, which is compatible with the CN bonding layer and has been tested for use in coal mine fire- and explosion-proof environments.

When ordering, specify your pulley circumference and face width — sheets are cut to order to minimise waste and ensure a clean joint.

Installation Notes

Grind the pulley shell surface to bare, sound metal before adhesive application — sandblasting is not required. The surface must also be clean, dry, and free of oil and grease; contamination will reduce bond strength.

The CN bonding layer on the lagging back face is factory-applied and buffing-free — apply cold-bond adhesive (HUAYE-818 recommended) directly to the CN layer and the prepared pulley shell.

Specify pulley circumference when ordering — sheets are cut to length to suit your pulley diameter.

Allow full adhesive cure time before returning the pulley to full operational load.

Is HUAYE-CRL-15 suitable for non-mining applications?

Yes. While certified to MT/T 962-2019 for coal mine conveyor pulleys, HUAYE-CRL-15 is equally suitable for metallurgy, port terminals, and cement plants where wear resistance and flame retardancy are required. The certification provides assurance of performance beyond the mining sector.

What adhesive is recommended for installation?
